Lo1 My programme

My programme will be a interview with an artists from Doncaster known as 1Mawb, we will talk about his latest releases, his inspirations and where we will se him in the future.  It will be structured similar to BBC 1 xtra in the sense that It will be written very informal and will consist of a lot of relatable humour that can be enjoyed by our target audience.

Lo1 Comparison of Presentation styles

Chris Moyles Radio X  In this radio interview Liam Gallagher is more dominating during the interview and he is given more time to answer his questions. It also feels more formal with the presenter talking very politely and calm. I think this radio station is targeted towards Millennials and younger adults who grew up listening Oasis and are now adults who have jobs. Lo1 Know how the radio industry operates (P1, P2, & M1)

P1 An example of a National commercial radio station would be Absolute radio, Absolute radio 80s, and Absolute radio 90s, owned by Bauer Media Group. These radio stations obtain funding via adverts and sponsors from other conglomerate companies. Each station plays contemporary music from specific genres of music from different eras, each station appeals to its own niche and uses targeted ads to market directly to their target audience. Absolute radio plays Adult-orientated pop/rock Music which appeals to a niche group of people who like that genre, and rather listen to this than contemporary pop music from the present day. The BBC is a non-profit organisation, this means that their radio stations receives budget from the government. They are not allowed to play adverts or sponsor certain products because they obtain their funding from the public taxes (tele licence). Demographics defines things based on age, gender, income, education, and occupation A - upper class B - Middle class C1 - Lower middle class C2 - Skilled worker class D - Lower working class E - Lowest level income earners  Demographic analysis is  the study of a population-based on factors such as age, race, and sex . Demographic data refers to socioeconomic information expressed statistically, including employment, education, income, marriage rates, birth and death rates, and more. It is known as a more outdated way of gaining audience information Due to the successor believing they are of a higher social status, they would be more likely to listen to stations that play Classical and jazz music. Commercial radio stations like Classic FM and BBC 3 play music that would appeal to them more, and they would feature advertisements that would appeal to their sense of high status.
